Smooth Talking Narrator Explains The Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer

I really can't enough of these Red Dead Redemption videos that Rockstar is putting out. This latest one goes over the game's multiplayer, which is starting to look pretty appealing.

Although the multiplayer isn't what I'm most excited about with Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar is sure making it look more than decent. I like the "Mexican Stand-off" at the beginning of matches, as it's something I don't think any other game has done before. What, if at all, are you most looking forward to with Rockstar's next title?

Red Dead Redemption Shows You Around Town

Cowboys, and horses, and guns, oh my! It seems that Rockstar's sequel to the 2004 title, Red Dead Revolver, is coming along quite nicely. There have been a couple of trailers revealing some of the game's characters, but this one shows some actual gameplay, which is looking pretty good.

You should start to ready your horses, because Red Dead Redemption will be hitting stores May 18, 2010.

New Bioshock Multiplayer DLC Set For March

Even though the multiplayer in Bioshock 2 is probably one the game's weaker links, it seems that 2K Games defiantly isn't giving up on it soon. 2K has just announced that a new DLC pack for Bioshock 2's multiplayer, entitled "Sinclair Solutions Test Pack", will be coming out later in March. The pack is said to include two new playable characters, 5 masks, 20 more trials, new weapons/upgrades, and it will raise the level cap to 50. This entire pack will only cost you $5.00, which doesn't sound bad at all, for the amount of stuff your getting.
Even though this pack is a pretty good deal if your into the Bioshock 2 multiplayer, I won't be picking this one up. The multiplayer still seems like too much of a shoe-in for me to really devote some quality time to it.
How are you guys linking the Bioshock 2 multiplayer? Do you think it helped or hurt the over all feel of Bioshock 2?

Borderlands Has Now Sold 3 Million Units

Borderlands got a new tag line at the end of last year, Best selling new IP of 2009. It turns out that 2009 wasn't the only year that Borderlands was doing well, because its still selling... a lot!
Randy Pitchford, CEO and Founder of Gearbox, has said that the newest numbers for Borderlands are upwards of 3 million units sold.
Gearbox has also been supporting their game very well with new DLC packs coming out every 2 or so months. To keep in the spirit of things, Gearbox has just released some new screens of their latest and greatest DLC pack entitled "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx’s". This DLC will add a new tier of unique weapons, new eniemes, and raise the level cap.
You can see with Borderlands alone that a DLC business strategy like this pays off pretty well, and its no surprise to see other big releases doing the same thing, ie: Dragon Age: Origins.
What do you guys think of this? Would you like more depth to your games with DLC, or you would like more stand alone games?

Red Dead Redemption pre-order bonuses announced

Red Dead Redemption's pre-order bonuses have been announced, and there's a lot to choose from. It seems that Rockstar has gone down the ever so popular route of offering a bunch of different pre-order bonuses from a bunch of different retailers. There are a total of 8 different pre-order intensives from 10 different retailers across the UK and US, the full list can be found here.
Most of the bonus content is in-game stuff to improve your gun wielding abilities or to help you get around town on a faster horse, however, I was happily surprised to see that if you order directly through Rockstar's Warehouse you'll receive an "Official Game Tee". Its sure been a while since I've gotten any physical goods with any pre-order, but I'm always happy to see it return. Even though the T-shirt sounds pretty sweet, I think I'll stick with my $10 discount plus some in-game content from the Amazon bonus.
