Final Fantasy Experience/Launch Party in SF on March 8th

To celebrate the upcoming release, there's going to be an event called the Final Fantasy XIII Experience, to be held on March 8 in San Francisco. Fans will get a chance to preview the game first hand, browse a gallery of artwork, view trailers and meet the development team. Attendees can also win Final Fantasy XII raffle prizes at this event.
If you're really luck, and a Bronze member or above, you could be selected to get in the actual Final Fantasy XIII launch party later that night.
I'm not a Bronze member at the Square Enix site, but I'll defiantly try and get into the door of the Final Fantasy Experience. If I do, be sure to check back here, as I'll post lots of cool pictures and info from the event.

Link to enter the contest can be found here

Trine Is Not Coming To XBLA

Sadly, It seems that the rumored Xbox 360 version of Trine isn't going to coming out after all.
Frozenbyte's Joel Kinnunen said "It's out of our hands but most likely will not happen. Sorry. (We probably won't comment on this any further.)"
Being someone who has played Trine, and loved every minute of it, it's sad to know that not everyone will be able to experience this amazingly creative and fun adventure. However, if you have a PS3 or a PC, I highly recommend you give Trine a go as it was in my top 10 games of 2009.

Discussion: What Do You Do When You Finish a Game?

I have recently finished Mass Effect 2 (a Quick Thoughts segment will be posted shortly) and right after I finished it, I didn't really know what to do. I had just finished a great/epic adventure, so the only reasonable thing to do, was to "rest". I grabbed a glass of water, some cookies, and just sat on my couch for 20 minutes thinking back to what I had just done.
What do you guys do when you finish a game? Do you jump right back in for a "New Game Plus"? Do you stop and think about your adventure, and all the great moments you had? Or do you just keep going with your regularly schedule like nothing special has happened?

New God of War 3 Trailer Shows Us Kratos's Rage

Game Trailers has recently shown a new God of War 3 trailer, which is one of the best so far.

In this trailer we get a see a lot of Kratos's rage filled battle sequences, but what interests me the most is the last shot where Kratos is fighting the "spider-dragon" on top of a titan. Sony's Santa Monica Studios have come out and said recently that they have gotten the technology to finally make moving levels, such as that giant titan.

I'm extremely interested to see how all of this will play out, and you can be sure that when I do, I'll be the first to post about it right here on this blog.

Dragon Age: Awakening, New Character Velanna

So far the first bit of news that hasn't come from today's X10 event is that Bioware's announcement of a new character in their upcoming Dragon Age expansion.
Dragon Age Origins: Awakening is going to include several new characters when it comes out on March 16, one of which will be Velanna, who seems to be a mage of sorts.

There was no official statement with this video, so your guess on what kind of role this character will play is as good as mine.

[X10] Crackdown 2 Pre-Order Bonus and Box Art

It seems that today's Microsoft even X10 might as well have been called "Microsoft's Release Date Event", but then they wouldn't have been able to give us any of this Crackdown 2 info.
Although Crackdown 2 didn't get a release date yet, they did release a bunch of new screen shots. One of the screen shots shows the pre-order bonus, and another picture shows us the official Crackdown 2 box art

This time around Crackdown isn't offering any beta access with their pre-orders, but they are offering four exclusive sets of armor. The armor is called the Agency suit, and it will come in  gold, brushed, red, and blue metal

[X10] Alan Wake coming May 19, Limited Edition Announced

As if Microsoft's [X10] event hasn't released enough info today, Remedy came out to say that their latest game is scheduled for a May 19 release. Along with a release date, the official Limited Edition was shown off today, along with all of its extra goodies.

There will be 3 discs, the game, a soundtrack, a bonus disk, and some art. All of this will be packaged in box which looks like a hard cover novel.

I personally think that this whole set looks a little too plain, too much blue, but regardless I am still very interested to see how this survival horror game is going to turn out.
